Polygood Take-Back Programme

The global rise in waste is a critical issue that poses significant environmental and social challenges. Projections estimate that by 2050 the volume of plastic waste in oceans may be greater than that of fish, causing severe harm to marine life, industry, people, and ultimately the planet.

As a sustainability-driven company, we promote circular economy principles. Our Polygood surface material is made from 100% recycled plastic and is also 100% recyclable. We comply with EU regulations to reduce waste in the production process, and our Take-Back Programme helps to ensure that Polygood is a truly circular solution to the plastic waste problem. This initiative ensures that the panels – and the valuable materials from which they are made – are optimally and responsibly reused at the end of their useful economic life.

What is a Take-Back Programme?

The Good Plastic Company is proud to offer a Take-Back Programme for our Polygood panels, which fosters a closed-loop economy focused on reusing materials instead of creating new waste.

We are dedicated to ensuring that all materials received through our Take-Back Programme are reused or undergo rigorous recycling processes before being remanufactured into beautiful and functional new panels. This approach supports responsible business practices, and we appreciate your support in promoting a more sustainable future.

This programme is a key element of our sustainability commitment. Through the reuse of existing materials, we can reduce the demand for new raw materials and prevent discarded products from ending up in landfill or being incinerated.

Consider the environment with Polygood

In addition to supporting a circular economy, our Take-Back Programme offers further advantages. Recycling old Polygood panels allows us all to reduce our carbon footprint and limit our environmental impact, as recycling materials demands less energy than manufacturing products from raw materials.

To recycle surplus or damaged Polygood panels or derivative products, simply return them to a The Good Plastic Company production facility, where we will reuse or recycle them and create brand new Polygood panels.

*Please note that we can only accept Polygood material. We do not accept other plastic waste, wood or other materials.

Where to return the material?

We recommend sending material to our facility in the Netherlands. You take care of the transport – we’ll take care of the rest.

Packaging of Polygood panels and off-cuts for return

Please ensure that panels and pieces are packed on a pallet. You may place smaller pieces in a bag or cardboard box, and place that on the pallet. Refer to your shipper’s website for their packaging guidelines. However, the main points to note are as follows:

• Materials should be stacked on the pallet using the ‘bricks and mortar’ method where practical.

• Materials must be positioned within the edges of the pallet, without exceeding its length or width.

• The surface of the palletised material must be flat.
