Product certifications

Made from post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastic polystyrene, Polygood® adheres to strict environmental and building standards that are recognized internationally. Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

After a thorough Life Cycle Assessment, The Good Plastic Company holds an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Polygood®. The EPD serves as an invaluable asset in securing LEED and BREEAM certification for your projects.

VOC A+ Rating

Our VOC A+ rating means our products have minimal volatile organic compound emissions, contributing to healthier indoor environments. Polygood® aligns with BREEAM standards for construction materials in the UK and EU, making it a low-VOC emitting material.

Fire safety

Polygood® panels have Euroclass ratings for fire-resistance for two applications:

  • Construction products (excluding flooring). Polygood® panels with a special fire-retardant coating achieve a Euroclass rating of E, s3-d0.
  • Flooring applications. With an FPCC coating, panels achieve a Euroclass rating of B(fl), s1, according to standard EN 13501-1. This indicates moderate flammability with a low smoke development.
Food safety

Polygood® panels are certified completely safe for food contact, under European Union Commission Regulation No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

This ensures we have put in place effective processes and trained staff to deliver flawless products or services time after time.

ISO 45001:
Occupational Health and Safety

The standard specifies the criteria for occupational health and safety policy, objectives, planning, implementation, operation, auditing, and review. Our practices align with key elements such as leadership commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, incident investigation and continual improvement.
