Our Impact
Global Warming Potential (GWP) measures how much heat a greenhouse gas traps in the atmosphere over time, compared to carbon dioxide. A lower GWP indicates a more climate-friendly material.
Our flagship product Polygood® has a GWP of 487 kg per tonne – eight times lower than virgin polystyrene materials and six times more eco-friendly than leading acrylic-based solid surfaces. This significant reduction in GWP means our products contribute substantially less to global warming over their lifecycle.
Collaborating with like minded partners
We work with established recycling centres that have production capabilities of more than 800 tonnes of recycled plastic monthly. Each supplier also has the ability to deliver reporting audits to ensure we maintain our strict environmental product certifications. By fostering strong relationships with these partners, we uphold rigorous standards for environmental stewardship and ethical conduct.
We engage with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders who share our commitment to:
- Resource efficiency and environmental stewardship
- Sustainable resource management and social responsibility
- Recognized sustainability certifications
A reliable, circular supply chain
We prioritise ethical sourcing, transparency, supply chain resilience, and partnerships with top recycling centres.
Zero-waste production
Not only is Polygood® made from 100% recycled plastic. We also reuse 100% of our post-production waste in our manufacturing process. Our products are fully recyclable at the end of their life because they are made from a single type of plastic.
Take-Back Programme
Our free programme accepts used panels and offcuts, embodying our commitment to extended producer responsibility.
Meet our environmental policy and strategy team
As a manufacturer of sustainable design materials, The Good Plastic Company is making a positive impact on our environment at a large scale, by closing the gap between plastic recycling and businesses looking to make conscious decisions for commercial building projects.
